Shakira, the world-famous singer is currently going through a tough phase in her personal life, post her split with long-time partner Gerard Pique. As per the latest updates, it is clear that the Columbian singer spent her first Christmas post the painful separation with Pique in Dubai, with their sons, Milan and Sasha, who are nine and seven, respectively. Shakira posted a picture from their holiday on her official Instagram handle recently, with her little sons.

The pop star took to her official Instagram handle and shared a picture with her sons Milan and Sasha, as the trio was seen enjoying their Christmas holidays in a desert area. Shakira captioned her post in both English and Spanish, and it reads: "In the desert this Christmas, searching for serenity." In the picture, the mother and sons were seen dressed in Arab costumes, and the Columbian singer is seen holding a falcon. The new Instagram post of Shakira is now going viral on social media.

The kids to spend their New Year with father Gerard Pique?

If the reports are to be believed, Shakira and Gerard Pique's sons Milan and Sasha are planning to spend their New Year this time, with their father. The kids will spend time with their mother, who is expected to stay in the UAE till December 30, Friday. Later, the singer is expected to send their kids with the footballer, who is planning to take them on a holiday.

Shakira and Gerard Pique met for the first time at the shooting of the FIFA World Cup 2010 anthem 'Waka Waka - It's time for Africa', which made the singer a global sensation. Interestingly, Shakira and Gerard Pique also garnered attention, as they became one of those rare couples who share their birthdays (February 2). But the singer was often spotted flying to various destinations to meet her footballer boyfriend, and the romance was confirmed by the media.

2. When Shakira and Gerard Pique moved in together

Even though the rumours regarding Shakira's relationship with the Spanish football player started doing rounds immediately after the FIFA World Cup 2010, they never really commented on it publically. But later, Gerard Pique moved in with the celebrated singer, and the duo lived together for over 11 years. The reports came out as a great shock for the fans, who considered them the perfect couple.

If the reports are to be believed, Shakira and Gerard Pique parted ways due to the footballer's extramarital affair. The separation rumours started doing rounds after the Spanish footballer moved out of the couple's family home in Barcelona, and started living alone in an apartment in the city. Now, the grapevine suggest that the footballer has already moved on, and is currently dating 23-year-old model Clara Chia.

5. Dispute over the custody of kids

As per the reports, the ex-couple is now going through major disputes over the custody of their sons, Milan and Sasha. As per the latest updates, Shakira is planning to relocate to Miami with her sons, by mid-January 2023. "We have signed a custody agreement. Our sole objective is to provide our children with the utmost security and protection and hope that they can continue with their lives in a safe and calm environment. We appreciate that their privacy will be respected," said the couple in a joint statement.

However, recent reports suggest that Gerard Pique is said to be planning to delay Shakira and their son's migration, as he is eagerly looking forward to going with Milan and Sasha to the Three Kings parade in Barcelona. But there is no official confirmation on the same, so far.
